Updated Bus Schedule

Parents - If your student road bus 5 or bus 28 last school year, please make sure to review the updated bus schedule. There have been changes to those routes and students have been moved to other bus routes. Please make sure that your student or students know what bus they ride and the pick-up and drop off times. Please make sure that they are at the bus stop early to catch the bus for school.

Pre-K Pre-Registration and Enrollment
Pre-K pre-registration and enrollment for the 2017-18 school year will be on February 27-March 10. Call 304-684-2215 to pre-register and receive a registration packet. Enrollments will be conducted on May 18th and 19th at Belmont Elementary and St. Marys Elementary Schools by Appointment.
New Lockdown Procedure (A.L.I.C.E.)
Pleasants County Schools has adopted a new strategy for lockdown procedure known as the A.L.I.C.E. plan. A.L.I.C.E. is an acronym for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate.  Prior to the A.L.I.C.E. plan, lockdown procedures involved the staff locking their doors, moving the students to a part of the room where they could not be seen, and quietly remaining there until an “all clear” announcement was given.  The A.L.I.C.E. plan offers a different philosophy in light of school violence.  The philosophy of A.L.I.C.E. is to use technology and information in a way so that staff and students can make informed decisions in a crisis, remove as many people as possible from the danger zone, and provide realistic training so that those involved in a crisis have a better chance of surviving.
Pleasants County School Grades

In addition, our daily attendance rate increased and our high school graduation rate ranked very high in the state and nationally with a 94% average
