Meal Distribution Tuesday May 26th

Due to the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, meal distribution for the last week of school will be on TUESDAY, MAY 26. Meal boxes will be available at our four distribution sites from 11:00 am -noon at St. Marys High School, Pleasants County Middle School, God's Glory church parking lot and the Arvilla Community Building.  This will conclude our regular school year feeding program with our summer feeding program beginning June 1, 2020.  Summer feeding will be a daily hot meal pick up for lunch and a grab-and-go style breakfast for the following day.  Curbside pickup will be available at ST. MARYS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, Monday through Friday, from noon- 1 pm.  Our summer feeding program will continue until August 11, 2020 to compliment the Pandemic-EBT cards from the DHHR to support our families in meeting the nutritional needs of our students.  For more information about the Pandemic-EBT program, please visit the West Virginia Department of Education at  or one of our Pleasants County Schools' social media pages.  Thank you and we look forward to seeing you NEXT TUESDAY at meal distribution!  More +

Wellness, Body and Online Safety

With schools shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, now more than ever it is important that children continue to receive information related to online safety, body safety and wellness. SHIELD ( has developed the following videos to provide children and teens in WV with the information they need to stay safe and reach out for help if they need it. Even though we are not in school,  we are still available to students.  If you are in need, please call the school to set up a time to speak or send an email to the school counselor. Superintendent's Update 4/30

Due to Governor Jim Justice closing school through the end of the year, Pleasants County Schools will continue to provide 5-day meal boxes on Monday’s from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon). Also, Pleasants County Schools will continue to provide educational opportunities through digital learning and paper packets to our students. If you need paper packets, you may pick them up at each school’s front entrance on Monday, May 4th from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. Students may also “turn in” all paper packets that are complete on May 4th. We plan on a final collection of student work and devices to occur during the week of Tuesday, May 26th, 2020. Reminder calls will be made on Friday and Sunday evenings. More +

The week of April 6th is “Spring Break” for Pleasants County Schools. However, we will still be providing 5-Day Meal Boxes on both Monday, April 6th and Monday, April 13th, from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.- noon at the same 4 pickup locations. Computer and Paper Packet Distribution

If you requested a computer or paper packet from your child’s school, you need to arrange pickup on Wednesday, March 25th from 10:30am-12:00pm at their school of attendance.

Pickup Locations:
BES – Front Entrance closest to the playground
SMES – Front Entrance on the playground side
PCMS – Front entrance by the main office
SMHS – Front entrance by the main office
If you haven’t already done so, please contact your child’s school in regards to their educational plan. This educational plan has been prepared for each child through Friday, April 17th.

Meal Distribution

The Office of Child Nutrition will be offering Meal Distributions each school day from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.  Please note that to meet state requirements, students must be present to receive meals.  Each day a lunch will be provided as well as the next day’s breakfast.  This Monday only, each child will be given a breakfast only while we work to adjust our inventory and methods of preparation. 

At each Meal Distribution site, families are asked to create a “drive-thru” line to accept food through the car window.  This will allow us to follow social distancing practices, protecting both our families and employees. 

Meal Distribution sites will be at the following locations:

-Arvilla Community building on Arvilla Road

-St. Marys High School- families should go to the back parking lot towards the VoAg Department hallway entering the south entrance and exiting through the north entrance

-God’s Glory Church at 7300 Pike Rd St. Marys WV 26170

-Pleasants County Middle School- families will follow the student drop off traffic pattern and meals will be handed out near the entrance of the last hallway of Belmont Elementary School

-Select Energy located at 7994 South Pleasants Highway
