Updated Bus Schedule

Parents - If your student road bus 5 or bus 28 last school year, please make sure to review the updated bus schedule. There have been changes to those routes and students have been moved to other bus routes. Please make sure that your student or students know what bus they ride and the pick-up and drop off times. New Lockdown Procedure (A.L.I.C.E.)
Pleasants County Schools has adopted a new strategy for lockdown procedure known as the A.L.I.C.E. plan. A.L.I.C.E. is an acronym for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate.  Prior to the A.L.I.C.E. plan, lockdown procedures involved the staff locking their doors, moving the students to a part of the room where they could not be seen, and quietly remaining there until an “all clear” announcement was given.  The A.L.I.C.E. plan offers a different philosophy in light of school violence.  The philosophy of A.L.I.C.E. is to use technology and information in a way so that staff and students can make informed decisions in a crisis, remove as many people as possible from the danger zone, and provide realistic training so that those involved in a crisis have a better chance of surviving.
Pleasants County School Grades

Overall, our students made significant improvements on the state General Summative Assessments and were ranked 14th in the state in English Language Arts (ELA). In addition, our daily attendance rate increased and our high school graduation rate ranked very high in the state and nationally with a 94% average
