Meal Distribution Tuesday May 26th
Due to the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, meal distribution for the last week of school will be on TUESDAY, MAY 26. Meal boxes will be available at our four distribution sites from 11:00 am -noon at St. Marys High School, Pleasants County Middle School, God's Glory church parking lot and the Arvilla Community Building.  This will conclude our regular school year feeding program with our summer feeding program beginning June 1, 2020.  Summer feeding will be a daily hot meal pick up for lunch and a grab-and-go style breakfast for the following day.  Curbside pickup will be available at ST. MARYS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, Monday through Friday, from noon- 1 pm.  Our summer feeding program will continue until August 11, 2020 to compliment the Pandemic-EBT cards from the DHHR to support our families in meeting the nutritional needs of our students.  For more information about the Pandemic-EBT program, please visit the West Virginia Department of Education at  or one of our Pleasants County Schools' social media pages.  Thank you and we look forward to seeing you NEXT TUESDAY at meal distribution!  Read More...
35th Annual FFA Ham and Bacon Show
Due to the impacts and the safety precautions of the COVID-19 outbreak, the 35th Annual St. Marys FFA Ham and Bacon Show and Sale has been moved online. The sale will start at 6:00 P.M. on May 18th and will conclude on the May 21st at 6:00 P.M. The sale platform we will be using is All bidding participants will be required to register through the website and then will be given further instruction for bidding, purchasing, and pickup. Senior Activities Week
Senior Activities Week - Monday, May 18, 2020: A Senior Parade for the Class of 2020 will be driving through St. Marys. The lineup is at 5:00pm and the parade starts at 6:00pm.   All seniors are required to be at SMHS in the back parking lot by 5:00pm.  Students are encouraged to decorate their vehicles for the parade and wear their caps and gowns.   The parade will begin at St. Marys high school and travel down to St. Marys Elementary, down to Pleasants County Middle, and conclude through downtown.  Teachers and community members are encouraged to celebrate along with our seniors.  We must maintain social distancing guidelines.  Read More...
Wellness, Body and Online Safety
With schools shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, now more than ever it is important that children continue to receive information related to online safety, body safety and wellness. Graduation Announcement
In reviewing the results of our graduation survey, it is evident that most of you prefer a traditional face-to-face graduation ceremony.  This is certainly what we all would have wanted and expected would happen on May 24th of this year.  However, due to COVID- 19 and social distancing safety practices we must unfortunately change course.  Given current information, although we are slowly starting to open our State and communities for business and some activities, the social distancing and group gathering rules will likely still apply for some time.  If we were to hold a traditional graduation, even limiting attendance, the group gathering size would far exceed the safety guidelines.  We are still unsure when these guidelines will allow for such gatherings even if we plan a ceremony later in the summer.  Read More...

The Pleasants County Board of Education hereby gives notice that a public hearing concerning the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2021 will be held on Tuesday May 19, 2020 beginning at 6PM.
