Immunization and Health Requirements
2nd graders: a grace period of 45 days from the beginning of school has been allotted to get your student’s physical and dental assessment turned in. Please turn in records by Friday, September 27, 2019. 7th and 12th graders: Attention Parents: A 2 week grace period has been allotted in order to get your student’s shot records turned in. The grace period will end on Wednesday, August 28. Your student can legally not attend school if shots are not obtained and record given to the school by that date. Superintendent's Message - Back to School 2019-2020
I would like to extend a warm welcome back to all staff, students and parents as we begin another great year in Pleasants County Schools! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable summer filled with fun and relaxation. I must take a moment to thank the maintenance crew, custodians, volunteers, and administrators for working diligently to complete summer projects.  Our schools look great. We take great pride in our facilities and it certainly shows in all our schools. Construction projects are continuing throughout the summer and fall, which include: HVAC units and a new roof above the kitchen/cafeteria, restroom renovations at St. Marys Elementary, HVAC units in the Pre-K Wing at Belmont Elementary and a new hot water tank at Pleasants County Middle School.  Also, the upgrades to the storm water management system at St. Marys High School will begin soon... Immunization Requirements
Any student entering 2nd, 7th or 12th grades next year are required to show proof of a dental and HealthCheck comprehensive health examination prior to entry into school. Students in 7th or 12th grades are also required to have the Tdap and meningitis shots to enter. Please make an appointment with your child’s Doctor and Dentist to make sure they have completed the examination requirements and provide proof to the school. If your student has had a recent doctor visit (within a year of August 2019 or dentist visit within 6 months of August 2019, a copy of that can be brought to school. Superintendent's Message - April 2019
Pleasants County Schools is in full swing with Spring Events and Activities. It is a very busy time for all of our students and their families. The fourth nine weeks is under way with mid-terms coming out on April 25, 2019. Each school is gearing up for the General Summative Assessment (GSA) and we know our students will perform well, thanks to our teachers who have been working diligently to prepare them for these tests. The assessment will be administered in Pleasants County Schools the week of May 6th, 2019.    Read More...
Pre-K Pre-Registration and Enrollment
Pre-K pre-registration and enrollment for the 2019-20 school year will be on February 25-March 8 between 8:30am-3:00pm. Call 304-684-2215 to pre-register and receive a registration packet.
