Make-up Day Information
As of today (March 24th) we have closed school 15 times due to bad weather (14 instructional days and 1 Outside School Environment that was originally intended to be Make-up Day #1). The 180th day off school now falls on Thursday June 11, 2015. In the event that we miss any more days, we will be reschedule those missed days beginning on June 12, 2015.

This page will provide you with resources for practice and preparation for the new assessment. This assessment is designed to show what students know and can do at each grade. The assessment is important because it helps teachers and principals make decisions about their curriculum and methods of teaching. 
Back to School Boost
 

Please note that Pleasants County Schools will not be hosting Energy Express this summer.  Summer programming will be available at Belmont Elementary School, St. Marys Elementary School, Pleasants County Middle School and St. Marys High School. This program, Back to School Boost, will include intensive support in reading/language arts and mathematics for a limited number of students and will be held for eight ½ days in July.  More information will be provided in the near future.  

Pre-K Enrollment and Registration
 

MARCH 2 – 13, 2015, from 8:30am-3:00pm. Call 304-684-2215 to pre-register and receive an enrollment packet.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE? Any Pleasants County child entering kindergarten next school year who did not attend preschool in Pleasants County (must be 5 yrs of age before September 1, 2015). Any Pleasants County child wanting to attend pre-k in Pleasants County (must be 4 yrs of age before September 1, 2015). If you have concerns that your child is experiencing delays, even if he or she will not be 4 yrs old by September 1, 2015, please call to register for a screening!  

Autism and Discrete Trial Training

Mark your calendars and make plans to join Dr. Jim Ball, Board Certified Behavior Analyst with JB Autism Consulting for an opportunity to learn about discrete trial and/or improve your skills! Dr. Ball will provide an overview of discrete trial training,   discuss strategies for increasing student success utilizing discrete trial training, and conduct a question/answer session to address specific situations and needs.  

Superintendent's Message - February 2015
As we move through the second semester in Pleasants County Schools, there are plenty of activities going on.  LSIC meetings are being held at each respective school. The boys and girls basketball teams and the wrestling team are getting ready for LKC, Sectional, Regional and potential State Tournament action. Good Luck…. BLUE DEVILS!  
Updated Bus Stop Schedule
Attached is the new bus stop schedule that will be used beginning the first day the new St. Marys High School is open. If you have any questions about these changes feel free to call the Pleasants County transportation department at (304) 299-5272.
