Superintendent's Message - Work Stoppage
Pleasants County Schools has always placed a high priority on providing our students a quality education.  The greatest resource we have in our communities is our children and we take great pride in the responsibility of educating our students.  In order for our school system to be successful, we must consistently have a highly effective workforce.  We in Pleasants County Schools do not view ourselves as a workforce but a team.  We do not see our work as a job but a blessing to educate our youth.  Understanding the importance and value of our team, our professional and service employees deserve and need our support as they work with our State legislature to secure competitive wages and benefits.  West Virginia ranks 49th out of 50 states in teacher pay and its school employees have not had a raise in many years.  The significant increases in insurance premiums have outpaced salaries... 
Alumnus of the Year Application

The person nominating the alumnus must be an alumni of St. Marys High School and must able to be present during the meeting that occurs to vote on alumnus nominations. Superintendent's Message - February
I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season.  It is really hard to believe that it is February 2018. We will continue to keep student safety as our number one priority when decisions are made this winter in regards to school closings.  Pleasants County has currently missed 7 inclement weather days.

When to Keep Sick Children Home

Because we care... We coordinate with the local health department in protecting children from certain symptoms of communicable diseases. If your child has any of these symptoms, please keep him/her home, or make appropriate child care arrangements...

Flu Season

The flu season has started in Pleasants County. We want to prevent the spread of the flu and do our best to keep our students and staff healthy. Please see our county and school webpages for important information regarding influenza, such as how to protect your child and what to do if your child becomes sick. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school to speak with your child’s school nurse. 

The 1914 Purple and Gold Yearbook
On September 26 a copy of the 1914 Purple and Gold Yearbook was donated to St. Marys High School by David Wilson (Class of 1972) on behalf of James and Mary Wilson (Class of 1942), Ron Wilson (Class of 1964) and John Wilson (Class of 1970). A digital copy is now availabe online for everyone to view.
