Important Upcoming Calendar Changes
Due to the number of days missed this school year for bad weather, Pleasants County Schools will be canceling the early release days scheduled in March and May to recoup some lost instructional time. March 21 and May 16 are now going to be full instructional days. The early release day on April 17, will remain an early release date at this time.      
Pre-K Registrations and Enrollment
If you want your child to attend preschool or if your child is entering kindergarten next year and has not previously attend preschool, please call 304-684-2215 between March 3-14, 2014 from 8:30am-3:30pm to register and schedule an appointment for enrollment.

Homecoming Food Drive
As part of St. Marys High School Homecoming festivities Friday, Oct. 18, SMHS students went door-to-door in the community from 9-11 a.m. collecting food to be given to Neighbor Network. Residents throughout St. Marys left food on their doorsteps/porches Friday morning for the student body to collect. 
Opening Meeting for Staff
On Thursday Afternoon, Pleasants County Schools held an opening meeting to welcome back staff, recognize new staff and retirees, and to announce the Teacher and Service Personnel of the Year. Congratulations to Liz Eddy, 1st Grade Teacher at St. Marys Elementary, as Teacher or the Year and to Jodie Johnson, Kindergarten Aide at Belmont Elementary, as Service Personnel of the Year...  
Notice of Destruction of Special Education Records
Pleasants County Schools wishes to notify the public that the special education records of students with disabilities who have exited the school district may be destroyed after a five year time period. Records that will be maintained for an unlimited amount of time includes information such as student’s name, address, phone number, most recent IEP, eligibility paperwork, and psychological.
