2024 SMHS Prom
Parent Information:
2024 SMHS Prom will be held at Riverleigh Room in St. Marys, this is located at 212 Second Street. There will be several activities planned for students and parents as well as community members.
To ensure students have adequate parking, we are requesting that parents and or community members who would like to attend the open house event or the Prom Parade, park at the following locations.
· The parking lot across from Ingram Funeral Home
· Pleasants County Bank
· Street parking closer to the marina
Riverleigh Room and the Class of 2024 will host an open house for community members and parents to view prom before students arrive. This will occur from 5pm to 6pm.
If parents would like to remain in the area till the Prom Parade, you can enjoy music at the Senior Citizen Center and sit on the pavilion as well as enjoy Press and Jimmy Avocado food trucks in the downtown area.
The Prom Parade will start promptly at 7 pm.
Students will start at the Pleasants County Senior Nutrition Center, located at 219 Second Street (the red building). Students will cross the street, stopping in the middle to have pictures taken, this will allow our beautiful downtown to serve as a backdrop.
That being said, we are asking parents to remain on the sidewalk or view the Prom Parade from behind where students will be photographed. There will be several chaperones to help parents know where to view the students. In addition, there will be tents set up with seating for parents to wait and watch students enter prom.
