This Message for parents of students who participate in football, cross-country, volleyball, golf, and cheer.
School was canceled today on 8/19/2024, but some sports teams are still meeting. These times are not mandatory but are open to students who can come.
Football at 3:45 PM - SMHS
Volleyball at 3:30 PM - PCMS
Cross -Country at 6:30 PM - Pleasants Co. Park
Cheer and Golf - No Practice
Pleasants County Schools will be closed on Monday August 19, 2024 due to an active fire at a business near our bus garage. We are assessing potential damage to some of our buses. As a precaution, we have decided to close school today.

The following changes were made for excuses for absences due to the West Virginia Legislature passing WV-SB568.
Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to announce a new, convenient way for you to complete the beginning-of-year forms for your child - Electronic Forms!
Your child will be bringing home a pink paper form today with more information about this new process.
You can now fill out these forms electronically. After submitting the initial form, please check your email for links to complete all other required forms.
If you prefer traditional paper forms, we’ve got you covered! Please complete and return the pink paper form to let us know, and we will send home paper forms for your child.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.

To all PCMS Football, Golf, and Cross-Country Parents:
We want to make sure all parents are aware of which school bus their student needs to ride if they are going to practices at St. Marys High School or the St. Marys Golf Course. Athletes who will be riding to St. Marys for Football and Cross-Country practices need to ride their regular bus if that bus goes to St. Marys High School after leaving Pleasants County Middle School. For all Football and Cross-Country Students who ride on the third bus group, that does not go to St. Marys, they will need to ride bus 25. All Golf Students will ride bus 4. All parents with athletes riding a different bus than normal, need to send a note to school with your student to ride that bus on an as needed basis for practices. These notes should be dropped off with the school secretary at the beginning of the school day. Without a note the student athletes will not be able to ride a different bus other than the one they are assigned. This goes for any student.
Practices on 8/15/24 – First day of school
• PCMS Football - practice at St. Marys High School.
• PCMS Cross Country - practice will be held in front of PCMS.
• PCMS Golf – no practice
We are SO excited for our new gym floor and wall mats! Let's go Minutemen!
PCMS Football practice will be canceled for Wednesday August 14th.
