8th grade Valley Gem Sternwheeler dinner and dance cruise.










Ms. Binegar’s STEAM class created a new species of animal by combining 3 existing animals. They then built their creatures out of newspaper, cardboard, and masking tape. At this point they are adding paper mache and will finish off with painting them next week.










Miss Snyder’s fifth grade ELA classes investigate a crime scene in the IMC. They will be coming up with short stories to tell what they believe happened to cause such a scene.

May 10 is School Nurse Day!

Congratulations to Brynnley Bulluck and Annaliese Lauderman for being the 2023 Pleasants County Golden Horseshoe Winners!

The 7th grade went to the Pleasants County Courthouse for the St. Marys Elks Youth and Government Day.
Students met with Judge Sweeney and discussed how trials and hearings proceed, post-hearing the students discussed how things went and engaged in a mock proceeding with the judge. Students also met with the County Clerks about Election procedures. They explored the sheriff’s office and magistrate’s chamber. Then the St. Marys Elks hosted a pizza luncheon for the student guests.










Ms. Hamrick’s science classes participated in a flower dissection lab. Students learned that flowers have specialized parts made of cells that perform functions just like the human body. PCMS would like to thank the Greenhouse for donating flowers for the activity!
