SMES PTO is holding our annual Basket Raffle in conjunction with Elks Youth Week! Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 -CASH ONLY- and are on sale beginning Monday, April 29th until Friday, May 10th.

Hello, this is an important message about the upcoming MOVHD Mobile Dental Clinic. This clinic will provide services such as screening, cleaning, fluoride treatment, and if determined, sealants, X-rays, and silver diamine fluorine (SDF).
The clinic will be held at St. Marys Elementary School on April 30 and May 01, 2024, and at Belmont Elementary School on May 07 and May 09, 2024, during school hours.
This service is open to students who do not have a dentist, have not been to a dentist in more than a year, are under-insured, or do not have dental insurance.
MOVHD will bill Medicaid and private insurance. A sliding scale will be offered to students without dental insurance. No student will be denied services due to the inability to pay.
Please request an application form from your school nurse by returning the form that was being sent home with your student this week or by calling your school nurse. Applications for dental services need to be received on or before Thursday, April 18.
Students will be granted an appointment on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are still a lot of spots open, so please sign up. Thank you.

MOVHD MOBILE DENTAL CLINIC @ SMES and BES
Please save those coins for the SMES Penny War!! During the week of April 14-April 19, 2024, students can bring pennies in to put in each homeroom's jar. They may also "sabotage" another class by putting silver coins or bills in their bucket that will deduct from the penny total. the class with the most points will win a pizza party and an extra recess!! All proceeds will fund playground improvements.
The MOVHD Mobile Dental Clinic will be at SMES on April 30th and May 1st during the school day. If you are interested in your student receiving services, please fill out the attached form or call the SMES office at 304-684-3510 and speak to the nurse.
