🗓️ Calendar Update 🗓️
Spring Break to continue as scheduled, last day for students will remain May 22, unless we have additional cancellations.

180-Day Waiver Request:  Please be advised that we applied for a waiver with WVDE for some of our school cancellations. *The waiver request has been approved by the WVDE.  This means that due to the state-wide severe weather (state of emergency) in January, we do not have to make up some of the days that were missed. SPRING BREAK Spring Break for students will continue to be observed as originally scheduled: Monday, March 30, 2026 – Tuesday, April 7, 2026, for students. Staff only will return on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, for a Professional Learning Day. Students will return to school on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. LAST DAY OF SCHOOL We anticipate that Friday, May 22, 2026, will be the last day for students.  However, this is contingent on any additional “inclement weather” days that may occur. *The number of days requested are waived, provided this does not result in the last day of school occurring before the originally approved student end date.

Today, 03/02/2026, a Class Dojo message was sent to all parents of Belmont Elementary School Students with a link to fill out the WV School Learning Environment Survey. The purpose of this survey is to gather perceptions of the overall school climate. We will use the results of this survey to make improvements and strengthen our current climate to better serve the needs of our students. If you can't open the link (sent on Dojo), please contact the school and we will help you.

Parents of 3rd and 4th grade students - A passive permission slip is going home with students today in order for our 3rd and 4th grade students to fill out the WVSLES next week. You only need to return the form if you DO NOT want your child to participate. A link to the student survey questions was sent through Class Dojo for you to preview.

As always, we thank you for your support!
