As part of the ESSA, we are required to provide information to parents that they can share with their children on Cyber Safety that is in addition to Cyber Safety that is taught in the school. Recently, the WVDE released its Accountability Report. The report assesses each county based on the criteria in the "Balanced Scorecard" as well as the "operational effectiveness" of the district. The state examines 11 indicators. PCS was one of six counties in the state to achieve "green" status with no areas “on watch” from the state! Thank you to our staff, students, and board members who all played a part in meeting these 11 indicators.
October 16-20 is National School Bus Safety Week.

Our Bullying Prevention Program, Olweus, has several resources that students, staff, and families can read. Topics include- Why Address Bullying?, Definition, Types of Bullying, Roles Students Play, and Prevalence.
These can make great discussion points when discussing how to prevent and address bullying issues. Access the resources at:
