Mr. Bell’s class has been working on building flower boxes. Students learned how to properly use a tape measure, a speed square, hammer, and observed Mr. Bell using the miter saw.

Students who completed a certain percentage of the ALEKS program as prescribed by their math teacher earned their way to participate in the ALEKS Math Carnival! Students earned punch cards and played different games.

Students in Mr. Bell’s class have spent the last week creating hot air balloons out of tissue paper and learning about how they work. Yesterday, students launched their hot air balloons.




We are proud to announce our 2021 Golden Horseshoe Winners from Pleasants County- B. Rinard and E. Kirby.

In the coming days there is an expectation that the FDA will approve the Pfizer COVID vaccine for students 12-15 years of age. If you are interested in your child receiving the vaccine if it is approved, please respond to the survey (https://forms.office.com/r/kzCTWsS6T8) by Monday, May 10th, at 8:00pm. Your contact information will be shared with the WVDE and you will be contacted in the near future to schedule a vaccine for your child. Please call the school nurse with any questions.

K-8th Grade Parents: If your child signed up for Summer SOLE you should recieve a "Confirmation Sheet" today notating the weeks the student is registered as well as a few other details. If you did not receive a confirmation sheet, please call the child's school on Monday morning.

Pleasants County Middle School sponsored “Kindness Week” on April 19-23. Students were given a random act of kindness challenge each day and were able to nominate their peers to be recognized for acts of kindness they had performed. Each day had a kindness theme and students could dress up to show their support. The daily themes were “Let Kindness Shine”, “Cozy Up to Kindness”, “Peace, Love and Kindness”, “I Mustache You to be Kind” and “Kindness – PCMS Style”. Donations were taken up for the Pleasants County Humane Society and hygiene items were collected to put in the PCMS Clothing Closet.
