Thank you to everyone who has chosen to use our new digital form platform. The response has exceeded our best expectations. Today at 3:30 PM, we sent out email reminders to those who have started the process but still have some forms to complete. Please check your email for a message from Droplet to see if you have any additional forms that need to be completed.
At a minimum, everyone should have four forms to complete, with some having as many as twelve forms. We appreciate your continued effort in completing the beginning-of-year forms electronically.

Good Evening PK Parents and Students this is Mrs. Haught. The PK staff would like to invite PK parents to a 'meet and greet' on Friday, August 23 between the hours of 1:00-2:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to meet with classroom teachers, ask questions and obtain needed information for students 1st day of school on Monday, August 26.
Please bring your child's resting blanket, stuffed animal (if desired), gym shoes and a change of clothes to this event. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child's teacher at 684-3510.
Pleasants County Schools will be closed on Monday August 19, 2024 due to an active fire at a business near our bus garage. We are assessing potential damage to some of our buses. As a precaution, we have decided to close school today.
SMES will be hosting a Back to School Night on Monday, August 19 at 5:00 p.m. Parents and students will be provided the opportunity to meet and greet classroom teachers and tour the school. Additionally, PreK parents and students will be instructed on bus safety during this time.
SMES PTO will be meeting on Thursday, August 22 at 5:00 p.m. in Ms. Love’s room. Parents interested in joining or learning about PTO please plan to attend. All parents are welcome and encouraged to participate in PTO.
The Pleasants County Board of Education will be meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22 at the Board of Education Meeting Room at the maintenance building on Maple Street.

The following changes were made for excuses for absences due to the West Virginia Legislature passing WV-SB568.
Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to announce a new, convenient way for you to complete the beginning-of-year forms for your child - Electronic Forms!
Your child will be bringing home a pink paper form today with more information about this new process.
You can now fill out these forms electronically. After submitting the initial form, please check your email for links to complete all other required forms.
If you prefer traditional paper forms, we’ve got you covered! Please complete and return the pink paper form to let us know, and we will send home paper forms for your child.
