Mrs. Sandy’s West Virginia History class is participating in the Great West Virginia Mail Race. The class is sending informational letters to the other 54 counties in West Virginia. The goal is to learn more about the other counties around the state and for them to learn about Pleasants County as well.

During the month of April, the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) and school systems across the country honor the courage and resiliency of military-connected children by celebrating, “Purple Up” month. Purple is the appropriate color to recognize military children from all branches, because it represents a combination of Army green, Marine Corps red, and blue from the Coast Guard, Air Force, and Navy.
Pleasants County Schools will be closed on Friday, April 12, 2024 due to high water. Students should complete NTI packet (snow packet #3).

Picture Day is coming on Thursday, April 11th! Spring photos will be taken during the day, track photos will be taken at SMHS at 4:15 PM. Lifetouch School Photography, known for capturing school pictures from K-12 nationwide, will take our school photos this year. For more information about Picture Day, check out the flyer attached.
Students have already received picture packets. If you need an additonal packet, please have your student stop in the office.
