Miss Snyder’s fifth grade English students ended their ancient civilization unit by acting out Maya, Aztec, and Inca myths.






Doughnuts are in! We have 10 dozen extra Krispy Kreme doughnuts for sale in the PCMS office for $13 a dozen.

February 22 is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day.


Reminder, tomorrow is the day for Krispy Kreme Doughnut Pickup!


Yearbook Sale Announcement!
There is still time to order your 2022-2023 PCMS yearbook for $40. There are two ways to buy: in person or online. If you would like to send money with your PCMS student they can bring their $40 to Miss Snyder. If you would like to order online please visit jostens.com and click “Order Yearbook.” In the search bar type “Pleasants County Middle School.” This should bring up the Pleasants County Middle School in Belmont, WV option. Click the “Buy Now” option and enter your information in the boxes provided. If you have any questions, please contact the PCMS office or email Miss Snyder at rebecca.snyder@k12.wv.us.


Students in Mr. Nelson's STEAM class learned how to write a check. Students were taught vocabulary, how to label a check and the different parts of a check.

Friday, Febuary 17 is an Early Dismissal.


Congratulations to Isabella Eckert-Allen on being chosen to serve as a Page for Delegate Trenton Barnhart during the 2023 West Virginia Legislative Session.


Parents this is reminder that this Friday is an early dismissal day. School will be dismissing at 1:00 p.m. Parents of younger children need to have someone available to pick them up from the school bus. If you have any questions, please contact your school. Thank you.

Students that show their 100% paper in the office are added to a list for a chance to win a MASSIVE pepperoni roll on pepperoni roll day. Winners are drawn each month for each grade level. Winners for pepperoni roll day today are: 5th grade - Braxton Seese, 6th grade - Adeline Smith, 7th grade - Destinee Gray, 8th grade - Braylon Hashman.


Due to a bomb threat, Pleasants County Middle School and Belmont Elementary students are being taken to an off-site location due to a bomb threat.
Students and Staff are Safe.
An all-call was sent to BES/ PCMS parents with the name of the off-site location.
If you want to pick up your child, please give us a few minutes to get set-up, we will send another message when we are ready.
BES/ PCMS Parents- if you did not get the call, please call the Board Office if you need the evacuation location.
