PCMS students grabbed some chalk and went outside to write positive messages on the sidewalk for kindness week!

It’s FIESTA time!
Each 9-weeks grading period the 8th grade students of Spanish and the teacher establish a goal for how many times they will participate. If they reach the goal, they get a fiesta! During the second nine-weeks, they did not reach the class goal of 750 times. It was lowered to 600 participation points to help make the goal more attainable. During the 3rd nine-weeks grading period, however, the students SMASHED their goal! Instead of 600 instances of participation, the students volunteered answers, presented information, asked questions, helped each other, volunteered to complete tasks, participated in discussions, led activities, and modeled conversations over 1000 times! Students even shared in the celebration of their own success! Students made quesadillas for each other, supplied cups, water, candy and a piñata, and scouted out the perfect place to hit the piñata. The students did a great job!

Tuesday and Wednesday PCMS students read to BES students as part of our kindness week!
