March is Music in Our Schools Month!


Congratulations to our County Winners for Math Field Day! The Western Regional Competition will be hosted by WVU-Parkersburg on March 15.


Last week Mr. Lancaster took his students to the science lab to complete an animal adaptation lab.




Students in Mrs. Stewart’s 7th grade classes have been busy the last week gathering evidence from Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart” to put the narrator of the story on trial. Each class has formed a Prosecution, Defense, and a jury, and have been carefully planning, writing, and speaking their arguments to prove the sanity of the main character in a mock trial.



Congratulations to Kathy Martin! Mrs. Martin, a teacher at Pleasants County Middle, was selected as the February 2022 recipient of the Jan Dils Golden Apple Award.


February 22 is recognized as School Bus Driver Appreciation Day. We would like to recognize our hardworking members of the Transportation Department.

Four PCMS students from Mrs. Sandy’s 8th grade West Virginia History class had the opportunity to participate in this years 2022 Youth and Government Seminars. The students were able to have a hands on experiences in all three branches of our state government in Charleston.
