West Virginia School Learning Environment Survey
The WV Board of Education requires all schools to engage in continuous school improvement. In doing so, schools should engage in a data-driven school planning process, identify its needs, and work to increase school safety and create a positive learning environment.
To support that process schools will be doing surveys to gather information about the learning and teaching environment, the health and well-being of students, and supports for parents, school staff, and students that foster learning and success.
Knowing how you feel about your child’s school is an extremely important part of improving schools, so we are inviting you to fill out a parent survey. The survey is completely voluntary. Although we value your opinion and hope you will participate, you may choose not to, or to not answer any question on the survey you do not want to answer. Also, you are not asked to provide your name or any other identifying information.
You can fill out the parent survey online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WVSLES_P_F23
or you can scan the QR code below to access the survey.
To access survey, you will need to enter this login code (P067301).
If you have time, please consider completing this survey. Thank you!

Reminder - The 5th & 6th Grade Fundraiser is due today. If your student forgot their fundraiser form, please have them bring it tomorrow.

As part of the ESSA, we are required to provide information to parents that they can share with their children on Cyber Safety that is in addition to Cyber Safety that is taught in the school. PCS Recommends using the resources on Common Sense Media at commonsense.org (click on parenting for parent-specific resources.) We also recommend using the following resource for parents to talk to their children about Copyright and Fair Use on the internet:

Recently, the WVDE released its Accountability Report. The report assesses each county based on the criteria in the "Balanced Scorecard" as well as the "operational effectiveness" of the district. The state examines 11 indicators. PCS was one of six counties in the state to achieve "green" status with no areas “on watch” from the state! Thank you to our staff, students, and board members who all played a part in meeting these 11 indicators.
