Memorial Health System is proud to offer a unique educational experience to upcoming high school juniors and seniors throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley. The internship will allow students interested in medicine, nursing, surgery, and other healthcare specialties the opportunity to explore careers through professional interactions in 10 different areas of our system. As part of this internship, students will learn about the healthcare hiring process by completing an application, writing an essay, and interviewing for the internship. After completing the internship, students will be a better perspective on planning for their future education and potential healthcare careers. Who can participate in this program? Upcoming juniors and seniors are eligible to apply for the program. Students that can commit to all dates will be considered with up to 40 students from area high schools being selected to participate. What will the students learn? Selected students will rotate through 10 different departments within the hospital, gaining experience in various specialty areas - from laboratory to surgery - and how each department relates to the others. These experiences will provide insight into potential career opportunities
