I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season.  As we welcome in 2021, Pleasants County Schools will continue to keep student safety our number one priority when decisions are made during this winter in regards to school closings.  Pleasants County will provide instruction through “remote learning” for all students if we have to close school due to inclement weather.

The third nine weeks is in full swing. The academic year continues to be a success with each school working diligently in improving instruction, so that every student can reach their full potential in the classroom.

The second dose of COVID vaccines will begin on February 5th for Pleasants County School employees.  About 85% of employees who requested vaccines have received the first dose. The plan is to complete the second round in the month of February.   If COVID cases remain to stay down and with the second dose of vaccines completed, Pleasants County Schools plans to begin IN-PERSON learning five days a week at the beginning of March.

Winter Sports, which include: Girls and Boys Basketball and Wrestling are set to begin on February 15th with games beginning in March 2021.

I encourage parents to stay involved in your child’s education and activities. Thank you for your continued support as we strive to provide the very best education to your children.
