At this time, we would like to take a moment to recognize our own Blue Devil golf team.
This past Monday, at Mingo Bottom Golf Course, the team narrowly defeated Wheeling Central 236-237 to repeat for the third consecutive year as Region 1 Class A champions.
Brandon Lawhon took medalist honors for the region with a 75.
The team travels and competes next week, at the Jones Course at Olgebay in Wheeling, for the WVSSAC Class A championship on Oct. 5th and 6th. The team has compiled an outstanding record to date, raising their own school record for wins in a single season. They are currently 160-14 and are the two time defending Class A champions.
