The Girls' basketball games vs Wheeling Central that were cancelled last evening have been rescheduled for Friday Jan. 5th, 2024. JV will start at 6 pm and the Varsity will play at 7:30. Have a happy holiday season, and good luck Lady Devils tonight at Ritchie Co. !

We invite the community to the new Bullying Prevention Program Kickoff on January 4th at 6 PM at SMHS. There will be refreshments, activities, and performances by student groups.

Tonight's Girls Game vs Wheeling Central has been postponed due to weather concerns and advisories in the Wheeling area. For safety reasons, the opponent has opted to reschedule the game at a later time. We will update everyone as soon as we find a date. Livestream now available for events in the SMHS gym. Let your friends, relatives, Alumni who cannot travel from far off know, every one can now watch our home events. We have HUDL for the gymnasium and at Bill Hanlin Stadium at this time. Our first home event is Monday Dec. 18th when our state ranked Lady Devils host Wheeling Central. We will livestream the varsity game beginning at 7:15 for the 7:30 p.m. tip. This will allow you to have time to log in to watch your Lady Devils. The SMHS Thespian Troupe will be performing their competition one act show on Thursday, January 11 at 6 p.m. The piece is titled "About Her" and tells the story of a woman who was is dragged out of a social event by her allegedly abusive husband. Their neighbors are left to consider what they know, or what they 'think' they know about the events that followed. This performance is open to all family, friends and community members and will be presented free of charge. Please make plans to attend this event as the thespian troupe prepares for the regional competition at Parkersburg South on Saturday, January 13.

SMHS Boys' Basketball open their season tomorrow at HOME! The Blue Devils kick off their season at 7 pm versus Parkersburg Catholic. Reminder: Today is the Class of 2025's turn to host the annual Craft Show at the high school. Come out and support the many local vendors, get a pulled pork sandwich at lunch, a refresher drink as Pressed is here, or just find that special gift early. It all helps to support the class to get ready for prom. Doors open at 9 a.m. and we will be here until 3 p.m. See you soon!

Thanksgiving Break is November 20-24. Students and Staff will return on Monday, November 27.
