The SMHS football game vs Williamstown will be played at Parkersburg High School. The gates open at 5:00 PM and the kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

From Wood County Schools: Sept. 30 WHS [/SMHS] game to be at Stadium Field. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Friday’s (Sept. 30, 2022) football game between Williamstown and St. Marys is being moved to Parkersburg High School Stadium Field. Today is the Mid-Term of the 1st Nine Weeks

SMHS students in College Transitional Math ran time trials on cars today. They used the formula Rate=Distance/Time to determine the speed of each car in feet per second. They then charted predictions for winners of the grand finale race!

Parents this is reminder that this Friday is an early dismissal day. School will be dismissing at 1:00 p.m. Parents of younger children need to have someone available to pick them up from the school bus. If you have any questions, please contact your school. Thank you.

Students in the College Transitional Math Class conducted real world math investigations last Friday. This week they will be plotting their data and determining outcomes.

Schools and Offices will be closed on Monday, August 5 in observation of Labor Day. Staff and Students will not report.

Parents - Please ignore any calls about a student being absent. Our attendance system has not yet been setup to work with our new Student Information System. We are not sure what is going on, but are attempting to cancel these calls ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience!

SMHS Homecoming Attendants Needed St. Marys High School Student Council has announced its plan for the 2022 Homecoming. This year’s parade will be Friday, October 7, at 4:30pm. Any community organization/group who would like to participate in the parade should contact Amber Campano at SMHS, 304-684-3278, by Friday, September 30. The Student Council is searching for a young lady and young gentleman to serve as the SMHS gift bearer/flower girl and crown bearer for the 2022 Homecoming. Candidates for crown bearer and gift bearer are to be selected in the following manner: A) Candidates must be enrolled in grades K-2 at either St. Marys Elementary or Belmont Elementary. B) A hard copy picture no bigger than 5X7 must be submitted to Student Council no later 3:30pm on Thursday, September 8. The picture must include name, birthdate and phone number on the back of the photo. C) Student Council members will vote on one boy for gift bearer and one girl for crown bearer. Send a photo of the child to SMHS Student Council, SMHS 2330 N. Pleasants HWY, St. Marys, WV 26170. This picture will NOT be returned. Entries must be received by 3:30pm on Thursday, September 8. The chosen people will be notified Friday, September 9.
