Today, we welcomed Concord University and Glenville State University to campus.
Our seniors showed tremendous enthusiasm—25 students applied to Glenville State University and 19 students applied to Concord University during today’s session!

Objective:
To equip more people across West Virginia to communicate respectfully and effectively by reducing communication barriers and strengthening community inclusion.
Who Should Attend:
Families, educators, school staff, and community members who want to learn more about American Sign Language and Deaf culture.
Instructional Approach:
Engaging, visual, and interactive lessons featuring live ASL modeling, short practice activities, and a Q&A segment.
Accessibility:
Live captions enabled. All materials will be provided in accessible, visual formats with both ASL and spoken English interpretation.
Special Feature:
Each session will include a Guest Spotlight—hearing directly from members of the Deaf community as they share personal perspectives and model real-world conversations.

The Lady Devil volleyball team begins Regional play on Tuesday 10-28-25. They host a regional tournament match for the first time in school history. Ritchie Co. will play Parkersburg Catholic at 5:30 pm and the winner will play our Lady Devil Netters afterwards. Please help us pack the gym tomorrow night and watch history being made! Reminder: ONLY WVSSAC passes are accepted for post season play.

Please be reminded that these courses only report grades at the end of a semester. If you go to the St. Marys High page online and look under "documents" , you will see the Virtual course letter with a more detailed explanation of the process for grades for virtual courses. You are encouraged to have them log in regularly and monitor their progress and complete any missing assignments due. Again, this is a reminder that virtual courses will not report grades during the upcoming 9 week progress report. Thanks.
Incoming Freshman Scholarship Competition
The Department of Media and Visual Arts at West Liberty University is excited to announce the MAD Scholars Program — a competitive four-year scholarship opportunity for graduating high school seniors planning to pursue a Visual Communication degree in:
Studio Art
Art Education
Graphic Design
Illustration
Digital Media Design
Creative Arts Therapy
This competition is open to all graduating high school seniors, regardless of residency. Applicants must also submit an application for admission to West Liberty University.
Students must submit a portfolio of at least eight (8) pieces of original artwork. As determined by the art faculty, the winner will receive a four-year renewable art scholarship and a Housing Grant to study art, art education, graphic design, illustration, digital media, or art therapy at West Liberty University. Housing grants cover at least 80% of the total room cost and pay nothing to the board. Second and third-place awards of tuition scholarships and housing waivers may be granted if available and appropriate.
