Congratulations to the Finalists for Teacher and Service Personnel of the Year! Winners will be announced April 7. Winners will be selected to represent the county during the following school year (2026-27.)
St. Marys High Baseball and Softball Season Passes are available. Adult season passes are $40.00 each plus the GoFan fee and Student season passes are $20.00 each plus the GoFan fee. Each team has 14 home games at $7 for adults and $5 for students, so purchase your season pass and save on costs while you support our Blue Devil teams on the diamond.

Pleasants County Schools will be on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday March 17, 2026.
Congratulations to Coach King, Coach Nichols and the entire Lady Devil basketball team. They kept their focus all week and are returning home as the WVSSAC Class A Girls' Basketball State Champions. We will welcome them at the county line at approximately 5 p.m., and give them an escort back to the school. You are welcome to join the escort or come to the gym and welcome them home. The St. Marys Lady Devils will play the Gilmer County Lady Titans at 10 a.m. on March 14th for the Class A state championship. The Pleasants County Board of Education annually approves the designation of March as "Music in Our Schools Month (R)" along with other West Virginia Schools and the National Association for Music Education. This year's proclamation was approved on March 12, 2026.
Congratulations to Coach King, Coach Nichols and all the Lady Devils' basketball team on their exciting semi-final win this morning over Tug Valley, 52-50! The Lady Devils will keep dancing and play for the WVSSAC Class A championship on Saturday March 14th at 10 a.m. versus the winner of tonight's Gilmer Co. versus Ritchie Co. matchup. We have 350 tickets available and will be selling them tonight from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and again tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the high school main office. Pep buses will be available for high school students to sign up tomorrow for Saturday's game. Buses will depart at 7:30 a.m. and students must have a ticket purchased by tomorrow to ride the pep bus. Let's Go Lady Devils!
Tickets for the girls basketball state championship game will be on sale for $8 tonight from 5:30pm-8:30pm and tomorrow from 8:00am-2:30pm in the St. Marys High School office. The game will be at the Charleston Civic Center at 10:00am Saturday.
Reminder: The SMHS Lady Devils play Tug Valley tomorrow morning at 11:15 a.m. in the Charleston Civic Center, Thursday March 12th. We still have about 25 tickets available for purchase at $8.00 to the public. They are $12.00 at the Civic Center box office. Congratulations to the Lady Devils on their quarterfinal win this morning over Pocahontas County. They will now play Thursday March 12th at 11:15 a.m. in the Charleston Civic Center against Tug Valley. We will have tickets available at the high school front office from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. tonight and *:00 am until 2:30 p.m. tomorrow. Students riding the pep buses on Thursday must purchase their ticket by tomorrow afternoon. Tickets are $8.00 each. The pep buses will depart at 8:15 a.m. and return back in time for students to ride their evening bus or attend after school practices. Students need to let the chaperones know if they want a bag lunch. Remember to ensure each student has money to eat before the game or in the Civic center. Again, the buses will return straight back to their schools after the game, so drivers can make their evening runs. There is a limit of 350 tickets available at the $8.00 price, they are $12 or $14 if you wait to purchase them in Charleston. Come get your tickets and let's pack the civic center!
Recently, the WVSSAC announced a new award that will be presented annually- The Bill Hanlin Award.
WVSSAC Girls' basketball tournament tickets are still available at the St. Marys High School front office until approximately 3:00 p.m. today. We have about 50 tickets still available for tomorrow morning's game at 9:30 a.m. St. Marys vs Pocahontas County at the Charleston Civic Center. All tickets purchased today are $8.00 each, they will be more expensive at the Civic Center box office. If the ladies' prevail tomorrow morning, then their next game will be Thursday March 12th at 11:15 a.m. We will have tickets available tomorrow evening 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the high school and during the business day Wednesday until 3 p.m. Good luck Lady Devils!
