SAT School Day Assessment is Tuesday April 14th, 2026. This day is the state accountability measure for all students in the 11th grade in WV. ONLY JUNIORS WILL REPORT ON APRIL 14TH at St. Marys High. Students in the 9th, 10th and 12th grades will work from home on assignments uploaded on their student iPads for each subject area. Students should ensure they have their assignments before the end of the school day on Mon. April 13th. Teachers will be available on TEAMS or via email for 9th, 10th and 12th grade students during the morning and afternoon office hours on Tuesday. Again, 11th grade students should get a good rest the night before and report on time Tuesday April 14th for this mandated SAT Day. Thank you.

Earlier this week, the SMHS Band performed at Disney as part of the "Imagination Campus" program. They also enjoyed time in the parks. Thank you for representing the school and community! Your hard work with fundraising and practicing has paid off!
Today, SMHS Softball hosts the Jalyn Burke Invite with Ontario, OH and Frontier, OH and SMHS Baseball hosts Calhoun Co. in a double header. Softball starts at 11 a.m. and baseball begins at 1 p.m. We are pleased to announce that local food trucks are here and you are welcome to come by just to eat! Woodchips Food truck, Maggie Moos Ice Cream Truck and Mountain Mama's Sodas are all here from now until about 4:30 p.m. You are welcome to come support SMHS athletics by just visiting the foot trucks if you like. Pleasants County Schools will be on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday March 17, 2026.
Congratulations to Coach King, Coach Nichols and the entire Lady Devil basketball team. They kept their focus all week and are returning home as the WVSSAC Class A Girls' Basketball State Champions. The Pleasants County Board of Education annually approves the designation of March as "Music in Our Schools Month (R)" along with other West Virginia Schools and the National Association for Music Education. This year's proclamation was approved on March 12, 2026.
