For West Virginia's students maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher, the Promise Scholarship serves as a vital bridge to higher education, covering tuition and mandatory fees at any eligible two- or four-year institution within the state.
"The Promise Scholarship represents our state's commitment to keeping our brightest students here at home," says the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, which administers the program through its student portal at
CFWV.com.

To qualify, students must complete their high school education at a West Virginia public or private school, with at least half their credits earned in-state.
