Pleasants County Schools and St. Marys High School are very proud of senior Tyler Felter and his decision to enlist in the military.

Due to the Pleasants County Middle School building not yet being cleared, Belmont Elementary and Pleasants County Middle School students will be dismissed from St. Mary s High School. Students will ride their regular buses. Parent pickups can occur in the back parking lot of St. Marys High School. Belmont walkers will be bussed to the fire department training center on Triplett St. to be dismissed.

This survey is to assess if you are interested in your student receiving the Pfizer COVID vaccine. Please complete this survey by midnight March 30th to state whether you are or are not interested. Under the guidance of Mrs.Taylor, students from the Belmont Elementary4th Grade Class signed the National Anthem at the St. Marys High School Basketball game on March 29. Principal Taylor has been teaching sign language to the BES students throughout the school year.


Isabella Davis, Emily Hadley, Abigail Peckens, and Logan Rice will all earn a certificate of applied education at the end of the school year from the Early College Program- a partnership between Pleasants Co. Schools and WVU-Parkersburg.


The following sophomores interviewed and were accepted into the Drafting Program at MOVTI for the 2021-2022 school year. In addition to completing an application, students had to complete an interview and have appropriate grades and attendance to make them eligible for the program.

St. Marys High School is pleased to announce the following students were accepted into the Graphic Design Program for the 2021-2022 school year. Jace Gonzales, Andrew Smith, and Ella Smith.




Bralynn Davis, Jacob Elder, Laura Fetty, Hannah Hudson, and Kylie Wright will earn an Associate Degree of Arts through the Early College Program, a partnership between Pleasants County Schools and WVU-Parkersburg. Congratulations to the hard work of these students!


We are pleased to recognize 12 seniors at SMHS who received the WV Promise Scholarship- J. Brookover, B. Davis, J. Elder, L. Fetty, E. Hadley, W. Houser, H. Hudson, C. Miller, A. Peckens, L. Rice, A. Skorupinski, K. Wright.


Kylie Wright, Lara Fetty, and Cara Masters were recognized for scoring 30 or higher on the ACT during the 2020-2021 school year!


The deadline for the 2021 PROMISE Scholarship application and 2021 - 22 FAFSA has been extended to July 1, 2021 .

Congratulations to the SMHS students who were selected for the MOVTI’s Welding Program for 2021-2022! Evan Bauso, Hunter Bowe, Lillian Hamilton, Cody Houser, Tucker Payne, Zackary Rusell, & Harley Stewart.

The horticulture class at St. Marys High School has been hard at work! Soon, hanging baskets, vegetables, ferns, and flowers will be available from our Vocational Agriculture Department. Watch for details on sales coming soon!
