This week is American Education Week!
👩🏫👨🏫Earlier this week, we were fortunate to have Amber Myers from WVDE train our PK-2 ECCATs and Teachers on the Science of Reading and other evidence-based strategies to improve classroom instruction for our students. 📝✏️The training was conducted in sessions at the Pleasants Family Support Center.
✅Reminder: 🇺🇸 Veterans Day- Monday, November 11- Schools and Offices will be closed.

This is a reminder that Monday, October 14 (Columbus Day) is a normal instructional day of school ✏️📚 for staff and students.
October 🎃 is Bullying Prevention Month. Bullying is a pattern (happens more than once) of a person being hurt physically or verbally with an unequal balance of power ⚖️. As a reminder: with our Olweus rules, students should tell an adult at school 📚 and at home 🏡 if they are being bullied or they know someone else is being bullied. They should also report issues of conflict or someone being mean, which are still handled, but in a different way.
October 🎃 is Bullying Prevention Month. Dr. Dan Olweus 👨🎓 defines bullying as when someone repeatedly and on purpose says or does mean or hurtful things to another person who has a hard time defending himself or herself. See more in the image 📸
