The West Virginia Legislature has removed “educational leave” or what we called locally “leave of educational value” from the list of excused absences for all West Virginia Public Schools. Please see the information below.

Parents and Guardians,
Thank you to everyone who has chosen to use our new digital form platform. The response has exceeded our best expectations. Today at 3:30 PM, we sent out email reminders to those who have started the process but still have some forms to complete. Please check your email for a message from Droplet to see if you have any additional forms that need to be completed.
At a minimum, everyone should have four forms to complete, with some having as many as twelve forms. We appreciate your continued effort in completing the beginning-of-year forms electronically.

Forms go home to register: Friday, October 18
BES/ SMES Conferences: Monday, October 28
SMHS/ PCMS Conferences: Tuesday, October 29
Welcome Kindergarten!
School will resume a normal schedule on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
All bus routes will run as scheduled thanks to our hardworking mechanics and the swift action of our drivers last night.
All buses in use have been inspected and are safe for use. The spare buses we are using to run routes will have magnets with the correct bus number. These will be used until other repairs and inspections take place.
Also thank you to Tyler County Schools Transportation Department for your support!
Pleasants County Schools will be closed on Monday August 19, 2024 due to an active fire at a business near our bus garage. We are assessing potential damage to some of our buses. As a precaution, we have decided to close school today.

We are excited to announce a new, convenient way for you to complete the beginning-of-year forms for your child - Electronic Forms!
Your child will be bringing home a pink paper form today with more information about this new process.
You can now fill out these forms electronically. After submitting the initial form, please check your email for links to complete all other required forms.
If you prefer traditional paper forms, we’ve got you covered! Please complete and return the pink paper form to let us know, and we will send home paper forms for your child.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.

Pleasants County Schools staff attended the Boys and Girls Club Back to School Fair on August 6th. We engaged with families about our OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program and shared information about our Communities In Schools program and resources.
