Parents: please pick up any medication left at school by Friday, May 26. This is the last day of school for school nurses. Any medication not picked up by that time will be disposed of.
Ritchie Regional Health Center has scheduled an immunization clinic for SMHS 11th grade students to obtain any missing meningococcal or Tdap shots (as well as any other missing immunizations) required for 12th grade admission. The clinic will be Thursday, May 18th, from 7:30am-4pm at the Ritchie Regional Health Center located within St. Marys High School near the front entrance. Students (or parents of students under the age of 18) will need to schedule their immunization appointment with Ritchie Regional Health Center at 1-855-552-8907 or by texting 304-643-4005. Appointment times will be 8am-3:45pm.
If your child is missing any immunizations, an immunization consent form was sent home with your child on May 12th. If you plan for your child to receive any missing immunizations from RRHC, please complete the immunization consent form. Initial beside the highlighted shot and sign and initial at the bottom. A parent/guardian does not need to be present as long as the student provides Ritchie Regional with this completed immunization form AND a copy of their medical insurance card. You may return the form to the school nurse or have your student give the form to RRHC at their appointment.
Per WVDHHR, there is no provisional enrollment or grace period to allow students to obtain and show proof of immunizations for entry into 12th grade. Provisional enrollment is only granted to new enrollees into a WV school.
If you have any questions about immunization requirements for your student, please contact Mrs. Smitley, School Nurse, at 304-684-2421.

Attention parents: All students who will be entering 7th grade in the fall are required to have 2 immunizations. The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department will be offering a school-based immunization clinic for students needing Tdap and meningitis vaccines. This clinic will be held on Friday, May 12 at PCMS. Parents are not required to be present for this clinic. However, a couple forms are required before immunizations can be given. Insurance information is required, but no student will be turned away due to lack of coverage or inability to pay. Please attach copy of insurance card to forms. Your child will be bringing the forms home this week. Please turn in all required forms no later than Tuesday, May 9. If you have any questions, please call Nurse Keri at 304-299-5276.
